Iona Days

* I meant to post this back in July and it never got posted, so better late than never, right?


Thad wanted to run in the Iona Days 5K Fun Run with Ana this summer, and she was really excited to "run with Daddy." Usually she just watches him. There were about 100 runners and Thad pushed Ana in the stroller.

So after the race, we gathered around to hear the results. Thad got 1st place for men 20-29 years old, and he was pretty excited. He got 5$ cash baby! After he got his prize, we packed up the kids and got ready to leave. And as we turned to head toward the car, we heard the mayor announce the next winner: "Analyn Hymas!" Huh?! We stopped, turned around, and stood there for a sec, confused. Then Thad carried Analyn up to claim her $5 cash prize. As it turned out, since Thad got such a good time, and Ana had her own number, they wrote down her number as well as his, as they crossed the finish and didn't record the fact that she was in a stroller. So she somehow got 1st place for women 20-29! Haha.

For some reason she didn't want the number pinned to her shirt before the race. That's a pretty crusty face.

I'm glad they got to do that together. And below is a fun evening visit from cool Aunt Dru. She came all the way from Rexburg to grace us with her presence for dinner.
