It's A Boy!!!

We're having a boy! At first we were skeptical. We had the technician point out all of his boy parts just to put our doubts to rest. We're pretty stoked! My original due date was Jan. 29, but the technician said I'm measuring two weeks earlier, on Jan. 17. Sweet! Who doesn't want to hear that??

On another note, Thad ran his first marathon at Mesa Falls today!!! I am so proud of him. The final 300 yards of the race was lined with people cheering and clapping, and the commentator announced each runner's name and city as they crossed the finish line. Watching the runners come in to all that applause made me a bit nastalgic. Thad ran it in about 4 hrs 32 minutes. He's happy with his time, but he also learned a lot more about pacing himself, that he wants to put into practice with another marathon coming up in October.

This was about 10 yards from the finish line. By this point he was in so much pain! He was barely moving!

We ran into Thad's friend and former boss, Todd Moseley, at the race. He and his daughter ran the half marathon.



The weather was really good for running. It was partly sunny, cool, and a little breezy. Some people came all the way from New Zealand and Australia to run this race! I guess it's one of 50 top marathons in the nation. It is pretty beautiful with the evergreens, fields of green and gold, and the Tetons in the backdrop. And they ran next to Mesa Falls for a portion of it as well.
