This little lady has spent a lot of time like this over the last couple of months. One day when she was 7 months I found her standing up against the couch, and just like everything else in her short life, once she discovers something new, there's no turning back. Once she learned how to flip over at 3 months, she wasn't content on her back. And then she started army crawling at 4 months. Why sit still when she can scoot around more quickly? Once she learned how to sit up, and saw the world from a whole different view, laying down horizontally was a thing of the past. When she mastered crawling, that grew too boring. So now she spends all her time standing. This girl is advancing faster than both of my other children! She is going to be walking before she's 1, I guarantee it.
These kids have been pretty good this summer, but this photo that they took captures their sometimes mischievious behavior. Look, you can just see on their faces that they are up to no good and in silly mode.
This sad day finally came. The day when summer is officially over: the first day of school. But Ana was excited and she even picked out an outfit that I was happy with. And she let me curl her hair, because it was an extra special occasion. So I can't complain! She looked pretty cute.
We've had some weird weather this summer, but the weirdest was a random hail storm that turned into a thunderstorm where this clap of thunder literally lasted for about a half an hour. It was like one continuous roar of thunder; it was AWESOME!! All of our neighbors were standing on their porches watching the storm, and kids were running around in the hail and rain.
These don't have anything to do with growing up, but they were fun! We had an awesome ward party at our bishop's house back in September. It was a mustache party (hence the mustaches). It was set up carnival style, with the youth manning different booths. They also served sno-cones and cotton candy. The kids had so much fun. It think it was the funnest (most fun?) ward party I have ever been too.
